In continuation of the successfully conducted environment improvement drive taken up in June/July 2016 in the Patparganj Industrial Area in New Delhi, the Patparganj FIE Entrepreneurs Association (PFEA) has kick-started one another such drive on 15th October 2016. The industrial association initiated the drive strategically before Diwali to have the industrial area cleaned up. The drive conducted during 15th to 25th October 2016 focused on cleaning up of the solid waste dumps from road sides and open spaces in the industrial area and sweeping of streets. Also, the drive instilled industrial entrepreneurs in the Patparganj Industrial Area to take a Diwali Resolution towards keeping the Patparganj Industrial Area neat and clean.
Under the overall supervision of PFEA, thirty five of the association’s active members participated in the drive. Each day, one industry was incharge of supervising the cleanliness drive. As a result, nearly 500 tons of garbage and waste dumps were removed. The cost of the entire drive was borne by PFEA.
